Quote

“He was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without Pope's pretensions, Caesar without the legions of Caesar: without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue; if ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by the right divine, it was Mohammed, for he had all the power without its instruments and without its supports.”

Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle ascended the (mountain) of Uhud with Abu Bakr and 'Uthman and it shook. Allah's Apostle said. "Be calm. O Uhud!" I think he stroked it with his foot and added. "There is none on you but a Prophet. a Siddiq and two martyrs." (The two martyrs were Umar and Uthman) (See Hadith No. 24) Volume 5. Book 57. Number 46
